Mission: License and regulate the Nation's civilian use of byproduct, source, and special nuclear materials to ensure adequate protection of public health and safety, promote the common defense and security, and protect the environment.
Ms. Tamla Ransford is the Chief, Workforce Management and Benefits Branch in the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer (OCHCO), U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). Ms. Ransford joined the NRX on July 20, 2020.
Ms. Ransford brings more than 18 years of professional human resources management experience working with both commercial and Federal Government agencies. Over her career, she has served in critical human resources roles within the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, National Institutes of Health, Department of Homeland Security and the Food and Drug Administration where she provided a wide range of supervisory, leadership, strategic advisory and consultative human resources expertise.
Ms. Ransford holds a masters degree in human resources management from The Catholic University of America.
In 2021, Ms. Ransford assumed the role of NRC’s Veterans Employment Program Manager where she oversees the delivery of support services to our Nation’s veterans who are seeking Federal employment.
