Shirley Robinson serves as the Veterans Employment Program Manager (VEPM) for the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in the Office of Human Capital Services. She is responsible for promoting employment opportunities for Veterans and their families consistent with Executive Order 13518, which includes developing, administering, and coordinating HUD’s Veterans Employment Program. Her position as VEPM includes, but not limited to managing an operational plan for outreach to Veterans, conducting analysis and assessments of HUD’s Veterans Outreach Program; making recommendations for improving the employment, advancement, and retention of Veterans, and providing advice and assistance to Veterans seeking employment within HUD. Shirley’s professional career includes many years working as a Human Resources Professional providing services in the areas of outreach, recruitment, classification, and staffing. She has served in such capacities as a Human Resources Specialist, Chief of Classification, Staffing, and Recruitment, Senior Human Resources Specialist (Executive Resources), Corporate Recruitment Program Manager, Diversity and Recruitment Program Manager, Pathways Program Officer, Recruitment Program Manager and Special Employment Program Manager. She received her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration (Management) from Morgan State University. She is also a proud mother of a great daughter and son.
