Recruiting for

Agency Spotlight – CMS CyberVets Program

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is one of HHS’ 11 Operating Divisions, and has some of the most exciting and rewarding careers in the federal government. Our ability to manage the Medicare, Medicaid, and Health Insurance Marketplace programs depends on our dedicated staff of public servants.

CMS’ CyberVets program provides an amazing opportunity for transitioning military members who are interested in starting a career in the federal cybersecurity field with little or no prior cybersecurity experience. The program is a six-month rotation at CMS where service members will engage in both authentic problem-based and “on the job” cybersecurity training, learning the skills required to protect our data and network.  The CyberVets program is currently open to active duty military members utilizing the DoD SkillBridge Program. Service members must have at least eight months remaining before their EAS/EAOS in order to complete the program.
