Prior to my OPM experience, I had the privilege to serve in both the Navy on active duty and the Air Force as a reservist. One of the many military assignments that I treasure was being a psychology technician where I was able to help service members perform their job and their mission as well as maintain a healthy work-life balance. I felt that serving with my fellow service members, ensuring that they had the resources they needed to perform their mission effectively and efficiently, it was an important job and so after my military service, I took the opportunity to work as a research fellow at DoD working on surveys that assesses military personnel job satisfaction and overall well-being. Now at OPM, I am privileged to still get the wonderful opportunities to perform the tasks similar to those important duties that I got to do in the military and at DoD plus a whole lot more. As a program analyst, I get to work on data that assesses the workplace experiences of military veterans and also on government-wide programs that assesses Federal workforce job satisfaction and the overall organizational health of Federal agencies. In both my military and Federal government experience, I am happy and honored to have been able to play a part in helping both personnel and organizations perform their missions effectively and efficiently.
