I enlisted in the Active Duty Army and served 4 years as a Paralegal/Court Reporter before my honorable discharge as a Sergeant (E5) Disabled Veteran in May of 2008. I moved to the Fort Bragg area and entered Federal Civil Service in September of 2008 with the Social Security Administration as a Service Representative in Lumberton, NC. After a few years I accepted a position with 4th Battalion, 3d SFG(A) as a Family Readiness Support Assistant. After having my first child, I returned home to Minnesota and have worked since April 2011 as a legal assistant for the IRS, Office of Chief Counsel.
During my time in Federal Service, I have completed a B.S. in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology, a M.A. in Clinical Psychology, and I am now a Doctoral Candidate in Clinical Psychology. Being a Federal Employee has afforded me the opportunity to grow, learn, and earn. I've loved all of my jobs, and I look forward to a long career as a psychologist in the Federal System starting in 2018!
