- Maintain Manager’s calendar
and schedule appointments. Attend
meetings and briefings for the Manager on a variety of administrative
topics and provide discussion summaries.
Arrange meetings, conferences, and training, and prepare agendas as
requested. Attend meetings and/or
conferences to prepare minutes, make note of commitments made during
discussions, and follow-up on action items.
- Prepare correspondence,
reports, studies, etc. as requested by management and senior staff. Act as liaison with supervisor’s and
administrative staff to follow-up on requests for information, documents,
data, reports, and other information.
Prepare tables, charts, graphs, presentations, and other documents
using a variety of software applications (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel,
etc.) as requested by the Manager.
Maintain correspondence control system to track incoming and
outgoing correspondence, including Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and
Congressional requests for information.
- Use web-based systems to
arrange travel and track leave for assigned personnel. Maintain an automated and centralized leave
calendar to track manager availability and leave plans. Make travel arrangements for the
assigned managers/staff within the organizational units of the Manager,
including airline reservations, public transportation, government car
rental, hotel accommodations, etc. based on instructions and know
- Maintain files and tracking
systems using office automation systems.
Regularly use such software applications as electronic mail, desk
top publishing, calendar, spreadsheet, database and/or graphics. Responsible for maintaining and updating
administrative recordkeeping/tracking systems in accordance with the
procedures and policies of the assigned office.

We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this
position as described below:
To qualify for the GS-07 level, you need to have at least one year of full time
specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
Experience is defined as such that has equipped the applicant with the
particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA’s) to perform successfully the
duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to
be filled. To be creditable, specialized
experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade
level. Applicants who have the 1 year of
appropriate specialized experience, are not required to have general
experience, education above the high school level, or any additional
specialized experience to meet the minimum qualification requirements.
