The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs recently expanded the Fry Scholarship to extend to surviving spouses of military personnel. As of Jan. 1, 2015, spouses of service members who died in the line of service after Sept. 10, 2001 can get 36 months of full Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits, including tuition, fees, a housing allowance and an additional stipend, according to a press release from the VA.
