Feds Hire Vets - Vet to Vet
Feds Hire Vets - Vet to Vet

I had spent 8 years in the US Army serving as a traditional reservist and AGR before I was mobilized with my unit in 2003 in support of OIF I at the Port of Jacksonville and at Fort Stewart, GA. After I left service in 2006 I returned to school and earned both my BS and MS. I initially worked for two civilian companies over the course of six years until I was hired at the Department of Veterans Affairs. I had been trying to work for the US government since I left active service, but I am grateful to have been hired into my present position. It allows me to help fellow veterans obtain higher education and put themselves in the best position for success. The US Army instilled the motivation and desire to succeed and go after whatever goal I had in mind. I am currently working on a second MS in Public Administration in hopes that it can help further my career here at VA. I look forward to years of continued employment and hope one day to be selected for a leadership role. My ultimate goal is the director level!
