Mrs. Tania L. Allen is the Veterans Employment Program Manager within the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA), Office of Human Resources/Human Capital Management Division/ Human Capital Planning Branch. In this role, she is responsible for implementing EO 13518 and the Government-wide Veterans Recruitment and Employment Strategic Plan for EPA. Additionally, she counsels veterans on employment opportunites, educates hiring managers on proper use of special hiring authorities, and coordinates national recruitment and outreach efforts with regional coordinators. She has been with EPA for six years.
Mrs. Allen’s professional career outside of EPA includes seven years with the Office of Chief Counsel, IRS where she assisted in re-establishing the Attorney Recruitment & Retention Section, served as an HR Specialist and later held the position of Section Chief. Prior to joining the public sector she was employed for six years with a highly respected law firm in Washington, D.C. in the Attorney Recruitment Office. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Maryland-College Park and has an abundance of HR training and certifications.
