Mission: License and regulate the Nation's civilian use of byproduct, source, and special nuclear materials to ensure adequate protection of public health and safety, promote the common defense and security, and protect the environment.
Mr. Len Carsley serves as the Veterans Employment Program Manager within the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s (NRC) Office of Human Resources. In this role, he is responsible for promoting employment opportunities for veterans, consistent with Executive order 13518. Among his many roles at NRC, he also served as the Deputy Associate Director for Human Resources Operations and Policy.
Mr. Carsley’s career includes 21 years as a Human Resources professional in the NRC and 11 years as a Civilian Personnel Officer with the Department of the Army. While serving in his civil service capacity, Mr. Carsley also maintained a dual career with the US Army National Guard and retired as a Colonel in 2008. He holds a Master of Public Administration degree in from the University of Maine in Orono and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Southern Maine.
