Ms. Adams serves as the Corporate Recruitment Program Manager & Veteran Employment Program Officer within the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of the Secretary of Transportation, Human Capital Planning and Solutions Division. In this role, Ms. Adams is responsible for promoting a DOT corporate presence on recruitment initiatives linked to the DOT Strategic Plan and Human Capital initiatives for increasing employment opportunities for veterans, consistent with Executive Order 13518 on the Employment of Veterans in the Federal Government. Ms. Adams analyses recruitment trends and forecasts changes to meet future mission-critical demands and challenges to support DOT’s mission. Ms. Adams provides policy guidance on special appointing authorities, advises, and identifies “strategic initiatives,” and “best practices.” Ms. Adams provides corporate leadership and advocacy to the DOT HR community on internships, graduate programs, and major hiring initiatives, with emphasis on students, people with severe/targeted disabilities, women and girls, minorities, and military veterans. Ms. Adams has over twenty years of HR experience and institutional knowledge and expertise. The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has  operating administrations (OAs).
